The New Orleans basketball franchise are starting fresh. They have a new name, will have a remodeled arena which we saw a few weeks ago and now a new look. Today the Pelicans unveiled their new uniforms and here’s how they look in the picture below.
Team players Anthony Davis, Ryan Anderson, Jrue Holiday and Jason Smith modeled the new look.
The New Orleans Pelicans have been holding their new jerseys hostage and the fanbase has been trying to do everything possible to rescue them just to get a glimpse. Well, come August 1st, the fans may be getting what they’ve been hoping for.
In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Pelicans’ newly acquired point guard Jrue Holiday gave the fans some news that many have been searching for daily.
“The color scheme is dope,” he said. “I’ve seen the jersey a little bit, the release is August 1. I’m excited.”
Yep, you read it right. The release date for the jersey will be August 1st…allegedly. I bet Holiday isn’t the only one excited about this release. Let’s all just hope that his date is accurate.
The New Orleans Pelicans will have a new look next season after adding Jrue Holiday and Tyreke Evans. A Youtube user (CarlosValeroTV) has made a video to show the fans of the Pelicans what they can expect from their team.
The New Orleans Pelicans have a new name and now they have a new court to match. The team unveiled their new basketball court today and here it is below.
How do you feel about it? Do you like it or do you feel that it should be redone?
As Pelicans fan, I have been waiting and wanting to see the new court design and/or new uniforms. Well, one of those will be revealed on July 1st. In a press release, the team has announced that they are ready to show the fans the new arena changes.
The New Orleans Pelicans will debut the first ever rebranded New Orleans Arena court design for the upcoming 2013-14 season tomorrow, July 1 at Pelicans.com. Fans can visit the team’s website starting at 6:00 a.m. to get a sneak peak at the new look.
In addition to viewing the new court design, fans will also have the opportunity to take a virtual 360° tour of the new inner bowl of the New Orleans Arena. The IOMedia technology utilized to develop the 3-D interactive map will offer the fans the ability to see the view from any seat location at every angle.
By participating in the virtual tour, fans will also have the opportunity to register to win a pair of floor seats to a 2013-14 Pelicans home game. As plans for additional renovations are finalized, the virtual site will be updated to include images and details about the new premium seating locations and entertainment areas. An addition to the lower bowl, which can be seen in the 360° tour, is the new Loge Box seating that combines the suite experience with the excitement of stadium seating. Benefits to this space include comfortable seating, premium all-inclusive catered dining and LED monitors so fans never miss a minute of action.
Also soon to be highlighted will be the all new Party Perch located in the Balcony which will boast a new bandstand that will feature live music at home games giving Pelicans fans an atmosphere and view of the game unlike any other in the NBA.
Over 80% of seats in the Arena have had their prices reduced. For more information on season ticket packages, fans can visit Pelicans.com or call 504.525.HOOP

The fans in New Orleans seem to be split on the moves the team made on draft night. The team landed Jrue Holiday from the Sixers in a trade and Pierre Jackson of Baylor. Here are a few highlights of the new Pelicans. I may be wrong but, I think I read that Elston Turner Jr. from Texan A&M will be signing with the Pelicans so I added his highlights also.

With the NBA draft only a few days away Victor Oladipo, who is expected to be picked in the top 5, worked out for the New Orleans Pelicans in Washington D.C.
New Orleans Pelicans guard Eric Gordon had an arthroscopic procedure done on his ankle yesterday. The procedure is said to have been successful. Gordon averaged 17 ppg for the Pelicans this past season while playing only half of the season. The Pelicans released a statement about the procedure-
The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that guard Eric Gordon underwent a successful arthroscopic procedure yesterday in his left ankle to alleviate pain caused by particles of scar tissue. The procedure was performed by Dr. Richard Ferkel of the Kerlan-Jobe Clinic in Los Angeles, CA.
Gordon is currently recovering from the procedure and will begin rehabilitation immediately while returning to basketball activities later in the summer.
Hopefully, this will be the procedure that gets Gordon back on track. He’s been suffering with different injuries for the past couple of seasons and it would be a shame to see a player with so much talent not reach his potential.
