The New Orleans basketball franchise are starting fresh. They have a new name, will have a remodeled arena which we saw a few weeks ago and now a new look. Today the Pelicans unveiled their new uniforms and here’s how they look in the picture below.
Team players Anthony Davis, Ryan Anderson, Jrue Holiday and Jason Smith modeled the new look.
We all knew that Alabama would be number one in the Top 25 but, did the rest of the top 25 fall how many thought it would?
Three things that caught my eye about the Coaches Poll
- The SEC has five teams in the top 10 and with another in the top 13.
- Ohio State can actually play for something this year being that they are done with their postseason ban.
- Oklahoma State may be the best team in the Big 12 (Opinion). It’s surprising the Cowboys didn’t crack the top 10.
USA Today Coaches Top 25
2. Ohio State
6. Texas A&M
7. South Carolina
11. Notre Dame
12. Florida State
14. Oklahoma State
19. Boise State
25. Oregon State
The injury bug has been making its way around the NFL teams and today it took a trip to the San Francisco 49ers’ training camp. Matt Maiocco of csnbayarea.com reports that Linebacker Patrick Willis sustained a hand injury during practice.
Linebacker Patrick Willis sustained an injury Wednesday afternoon and spent most of the practice with a large wrap on his right hand. Willis appeared to sustain the injury in a blitz pickup drill while matched against fullback Bruce Miller.
We all knew this was on the way and now it’s official. The Washington Wizards and Point Guard John Wall have agreed to a $80 million contract extension. CSNWashington.com confirmed the reports.
The contract extension that’s set to make John Wall the Wizards’ designated player has been finalized and the team will make it official Thursday at a news conference at Verizon Center, persons with knowledge of the situation confirmed to CSN Washington.
Wall, who has been training in Los Angeles during the off-season, already is in Washington for the announcement
Wall wasn’t the only player excited about the news and upcoming free agents Kyrie Irving and Paul George drooled over the contract that they may soon get via twitter.

The Houston Astros are rebuilding their team by trading any and every player that shows any type of promise. Today the Astros traded the 28-year-old right-hander Bud Norris to the Baltimore Orioles for 19-year-old prospect left hander L.J. Hoes. Norris didn’t have to travel far to meet his new team as they were already scheduled to face the Astros. Norris is 6-9 with a 3.93 ERA so far this season.
