Tulane Losing Leading Scorers Ricky Tarrant And Josh Davis

Bad news came out for the Tulane Green Wave basketball team as the news hit the internet that sophomore guard Ricky Tarrant ‏will be transferring schools. The Wave had finally put together a solid nucleus on the basketball court, but will now be losing on of their key player as Tarrant departs.

The guard was the 2011-12 Conference USA Freshman of the Year. This season, he averaged 15.7 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game and helped lead the Wave to the post season.

There’s no word on where Tarrant will transfer to, but he let it be known on twitter that he will be leaving by saying:

Tulane will also lose leading scorer Josh Davis who has received his release from the school,. Davis was the team’s leading scorer and rebounder, averaging a double-double of 17.6 points and 10.7 rebounds per game.

The Colts Snag Darrius Heyward-Bey

The Indianapolis Colts have agreed to terms with WR Darrius Heyward-Bey, formerly of the Raiders, on a one-year contract. Bey is a former first rounder and caught 41 passes for 606 yards and five touchdowns with the Raiders this past season.
